How much subsidy can I receive?
The maximum amount of subsidy you can receive is $366 for grade school or $644 if your child is in kindergarten. The amount of subsidy you will receive is dependent on several factors, including your income and the amount of hours your child will be attending our program. You can contact subsidy for more information on how much you qualify for.
Please visit the link below for an estimate of how much subsidy you may qualify for:

What is a subsidy deposit?
The subsidy deposit is required for any adjustments subsidy may make during the enrollment period. These adjustments will be taken from the subsidy deposit and the remaining deposit will be refunded to you.
How much is required for a subsidy deposit?
We require the maximum amount of subsidy that you could receive as the deposit amount, either $366 or $644. If our program cost is less than that maximum amount of subsidy, then the subsidy deposit will be equal to the program cost. If you are not able to pay the deposit in full please contact us to discuss payment arrangements.
When will I get my subsidy deposit back?
Subsidy pays for the exact hours attended in the last month of care and has three months from the last month care to claw back any payments provided on your behalf. Should a claw back occur, your deposit would be used to cover any short fall. Claw backs can happen up to 90 days after subsidy has been notified of your last month of care.
Your deposit will be refunded to you when:
- All payments from subsidy have been received and paid up to date (90 days after you have notified subsidy your child is not longer in the BLAST program).
- Your account is current and parent portions are paid up to date
- Subsidy has been notified of your child’s last month care in our program and our office has confirmed that subsidy will not be clawing back any payments.
- Your child is no longer continuing in the program
What should I know if I am receiving subsidy?
There are a couple of things you should keep in mind if you are receiving subsidy:
Once you are approved for subsidy, it is important to keep It’s A BLAST Program updated on the amount you are approved for as your monthly parent portion is calculated based on this. It is also important that you supply us with your online conditional subsidy approval the day you apply. If this is not supplied to us in the first month, you will be billed the full cost of the program for the second month. Please ensure you are maintaining a current approval with subsidy to ensure you continue receiving subsidy.
If you are subsidized, in the first and last month of care subsidy pays based on exact hours regardless of the amount of subsidy you qualify for. You must also maintain the hours you requested when you applied for subsidy, if you do not subsidy may make adjustments to the approved amount. Any discrepancies of subsidy will be the responsibility of the registering parent(s) to pay.
